Postbox Adds Support for OmniFocus and Things

One of the alternative mail clients to the built-in Apple Mail, Postbox have today announced Postbox 1.1.2, bringing in support for two of the most popular task management applications, OmniFocus and Things.

The new release will allow you to quickly convert emails into tasks and to link tasks and emails together, an addition that raises Postbox a big bit from Apple Mail not limiting you to using to-dos in iCal, but allowing you to integrate with the popular apps as well.

Postbox is available for $39.95 and has a free 30-day trial that you can download to try out.

Postbox e-mail app introducing version 1.1.1

The e-mail app Postbox, aiming to be in between Apple Mail and Microsoft Entourage in terms of features and style, released version 1.1.1 on Monday, adding in tighter OS X integration.

From within the app, you can now use Spotlight to search for your e-mail messages and attachments. You can also, by setting Postbox as your default email client, have it work two-way with iCal, brining over notifications and events. Of course the integration now also features a full integration with the built-in address book of Mac OS X and as a bonus, you can now create a new email message by just dragging a file on top of the dock icon.

Postbox is available for $39.95 from their website and will require Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
