Apple releases iTunes 9: Many Improvements!
Apple has today on their special event, released iTunes 9, an update that adds a lot of useful features, some very long-awaited. The first new feature announced was Genius Mixes, full mixes made through Genius recommendations. The same Genius technology can now not only handle music, but also movies and even applications! Very neat!
One of the most requested feature for iPhone and iPod Touch owners is to be able to re-arrange the home screens and the apps, something that you can now do with iTunes 9 and the iPhone OS 3.1 update (also released today).
Home Sharing
If you are using iTunes in an home network, you will be very pleased to know about Home Sharing, that lets you sync iTunes between multiple computers easily. A limit is on the usual five authorized computers, which should be enough for any home. You can of course not only copy songs and video but stream it as well.
iTunes Store Updates
The iTunes Store has gotten some good overhaul. It’s got a new navigation system (that indeed looks dramatically improved) and new design on the pages. There is also added photographs for albums and new extra content that can be gotten for movies and music as well!
Appthrough On Its Way!
I’m working on an Appthrough to take you through all the new features, and will try to have this out as soon as possible!
