Aperture 3 “Takes Photo Editing Further”
Apple has released Aperture 3, the newest version of their professional photo editing software. There are over 200 new features in the new release, according to Apple, listing all of them on their website.
Some of the highlighted new features are the addition of both Faces (face recognition) and Places (mapping of geo-tagged photos) to Aperture. These were previously only available in iPhoto. Other big new features are brushes (allowing for local area adjustments), adjustment presets, a full-screen browser including more advanced slideshows.
You can get a free 30-day trial for Aperture 3 or go ahead and get it from the Apple Store. If you are a current Aperture user, you can get the upgrade for $99 and if you are a new user, Aperture 3 sells for $199.
